I couldn't think of a better day to forget about the present and look forward to the months ahead. Not sure of what landscape you are looking out at through your window today but it's a winter wonderland here. What better day to flip through warm weather wear then an official Snow Day!
I am excited about a few of the spring/summer 2019 trends but have found others may not necessarily be ones that I will be embracing. Maybe it's the fact that I'm in my.....ahem, fabulous forties and not as adventurous or maybe it's not necessarily a fit with my signature look/general style. Regardless, today I'm just happy to spend this afternoon previewing some fun, flirty looks as opposed to the snow that is gradually accumulating on my driveway.
Hope these looks take you away to the sun and fun that will eventually make its way back to us.
1. Tie-Dye
If you are not into colour then this may not be for you but the 60s print is back, except this time its a hell of a lot chicer. This is sophisticated tie dye; think blazers, knits and midi skirts aplenty.

2. Beige Baby
Ok, so you weren't a fan of the previous trend. If you prefer to be void of colour then this one is for you. Head to toe beige is how the intentionally sleek will be wearing it this year.

3. Bike Shorts with Blazers
Sorry, you can count me out of this one! The only time you will see me pulling on spandex is when I am heading for a workout. I have embraced athleisure but this one is beyond my comfort zone. I applaud all who embrace this trend - go girl!!

4. Get Crafty
From patchwork crochet to macramé appliqué, there will be no getting away from folk elements this season. A crafty theme has swept through but there is nothing homespun about this trend, artisanal handiwork has gone high-end.

5. Tutti Fruity Suiting
The easiest way to energize your wardrobe this spring/summer is by taking your tailoring to the next level with some tutti fruity shades. Suits are saturated with citrus, mimosa and all the liveliest of shades.

6. Bucket Hats
The 90's iconic accessory is back. Providing sun protection and style, these casual and cool hats are perfect for dresses, shorts, overalls or any summer look. Patterned, plain or featuring a logo the choices are endless.

7. Boiler Suits
The 'it' item of your wardrobe this season is the all-in-one suit, the boiler suit. This easy go-to item was originally designed as a one-piece protective garment for manual labour but are now as fashionable as they are functional. To rock the look for yourself, just pick the cut and colour that suits you best.

8. Fringing
If something is swooshing when you walk next season then you are doing something right. With last autumn's obsession with the cowboy boot, it is inevitable there would be another Western-inspired trend and it's here in the form of fringe. From jackets to skirts to handbags and everything in-between, the swoosh can be found.
